If you have been missing live music performances during these past few months, Daphne Manavopoulos and Karim Nasr will be offering outdoor, socially distanced house concerts for violin and winds throughout the summer. There is a Baroque and Classical period program available. Payment is by donation. You can get in touch and book a performance using the contact form.

Karim Nasr, historical flutes, oboes, clarinets, and bassoons
He holds degrees from McGill University and het Conservatorium van Amsterdam where he studied with Bruce Haynes and Alfredo Bernardini. He is a founding member and artistic director of Cenacle (Montreal). Karim plays with Ensemble Caprice, Les Boreades de Montreal, the Aradia Ensemble, Ensemble Telemann, and la Bande Montreal Baroque. Karim is also a music publisher and instrument maker. He can be heard on the Atma and Analekta labels.

Daphne Manavopoulos, baroque violin
Originally from Montreal, Canada and Athens, Greece, violinist Daphne Manavopoulos holds an MA in Historical Performance from the Royal Academy of Music, London, where she studied with Walter Reiter, Margaret Faultless, Adrian Butterfield and Rachel Podger, amongst others. She was an active member of the UK early music scene, having performed with ensembles such as Florilegium, The Hanover Band and Little Baroque Company, before moving to Boston, USA, and most recently to Montreal.
